For Ubuntu 14.10 this PPA repo:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:samrog131/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ffmpeg-real
sudo ln -sf /opt/ffmpeg/bin/ffmpeg /usr/bin/ffmpeg
