Opera Will Not Open Pages

  • Last Friday and today I have received the following message when I try to use Opera as my browser to other sites:
"This webpage is not available. The webpage at (address) might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

I know that neither of those options are right because I'm able to reach them using Internet Explorer. I cannot see any way, aside from this forum, to contact Opera to determine why this is happening.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have considered uninstalling and reinstalling Opera, but I don't want to lose my numerous bookmarks, and there is apparently no way to export them. Please help!

  • And, suddenly it's working again. This is what happened on Friday. Why does it not work for 8 hours, and then suddenly come back? If I have the same problem tomorrow, I'm ditching Opera and going with something else.

  • Which Opera?
Opera - or Opera-Opera (if you get what I mean;)?

  • I'm using Opera 23.0.1. Once again, I get on my computer and Opera will not open pages. I suspect if I check later this afternoon it will be back. I'm just confused.

  • I've had the same issue. It was caused from my ADSL line sudden dropping and reconnecting while Opera was not able undestand the connection was restored.

  • Well, I am glad I am not the only one having the issue. How did you correct that (or did you)?

Looks like your connection to Opera forums was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
