What is the latest version of opera that can be
run okay on a Debian Jessie system ?

@operaacct I reverted to 70.0.3728.154 but I'm already on a 5. kernel w/ several Debian-based distributions. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I would like to run Opera on Jessie. I have tried via sources.list, but I get this:

Is it possible to install any version without having to upgrade? If so, where can I get it?

Where you can get all versions of Opera browser.

The last version that I have got to install on Debian Jessie is this:
opera-stable_67.0.3575.137_amd64.deb

The most suitable version of Opera for Debian Jessie is
opera 70.0.3728.154. It is the best version that can work for you
for Debian Jessie. Give it a try, I hope it will work out for you.

@naheed Thanks for your help, but, sadly, I can not get to install that versión (70.0.3728.154). I get dependencies errors. You can see them here:

Your sources.list doesn't look too good. In any case your sources for opera are disabled:
