Can't hide toolbar during Video Fullscreen

Usually when you click fullscreen for video, the toolbar gets hidden. But since the update it is not automatically getting hidden. A lot of times I can't even hide it manually.
This is happening on Mac OS.
How do I stop the browser from eating up my real estate?
