Inconsistent "remember password"

I am struggling against an inconsistent behavior of the "remember password" dialog: On most sites after I log in, Opera asks me to remember a password, but on some sites, it won't - I can log in fine, but I don't get asked to save the password. I even enabled the "Autofill HTML forms even if the 'autocomplete' attribute is set to 'off'", but to no visible effect. It seems to be mostly dependent on whether a site does or does not use HTTPS, but not in all cases. Did anyone encounter, and perhaps solve, this issue? Opera Next v24.
