Hi, I am having this quiet static noise on my USB Headset. It is only present on the GX version of Opera. There is no noise when I tested 3.5 jack headphones.

@rainerbetha @lixy Sorry to revive an old thread but I had the same problem and this thread was among the first results when searching for the issue on google so I figured I'd share the solutions that worked for me.
My setup is a corsair K55 keyboard and logitech arctis pro headphones both plugged in to a USB hub (this seems to be the troublemaker) along with some other devices so I can easily switch all my devices from my tower to my work laptop when working from home. I decided to go through and toggle every setting in opera gx to try and find the issue. I found two solutions and the most convenient for me was turning off the custom lighting settings that opera gx applied my keyboard leds.
Open opera gx settings and scroll to GX Lights, turn off any custom setting like "Razer Chroma" or in my case "Corsair iCUE" and Importantly restart the browser. As bizarre as it sounds this made the static noise disappear for me.I did turn the settings back on and restarted the browser just to confirm that I had definitely found what was causing the issue and lo and behold that static noise returned.
With some further testing I noticed that certain colors on my keyboard leds made more and less noise and the brightness of the leds also had an impact. Turning the leds completely off got rid off the static noise. I had always just used completely white at full brightness which caused no static noise so I hadn't noticed this problem until opera gx changed the color to some shade of pink.
What seems to have solved the issue completeley was plugging in either my keyboard or my headphones to a USB port directly on my pc instead of my USB hub. I'd imagine there are many programs that will have fancy led integrations with my devices turned on by default, much like opera, so if you're looking for a more permanent solution this is your best bet.
Hope this helped someone!

A headset that has static or buzzing noise might be caused by dirt or debris in audio ports and on the audio jack, improperly plugged in audio jack, hub connections, software issues, or faulty audio drivers.
