I have Opera 70 on Windows 10 Pro (1903). It is Opera Portable because I don't install anything I don't have to on Windows 10. All add-ons are disabled. When I first open Opera I get one tab opened to my selected home page (which I have configured in Opera). If I click in the address bar the entire URL is highlighted. If I then enter the letter "s" (or any other letter), to search for anything starting with "s" (or any other letter), Opera crashes (then restarts). If, however, I click in the address bar and the entire URL is highlighted, and click at the end of the highlighted URL and backspace so there's nothing in the address bar, then enter the letter "s" all is ok. From this point on all is ok.

I keep running into this when I open several tabs running various things then open a 3rd tab and start a search. As long as I open a new tab and select a URL from my toolbar then backspace to clear out that URL then search all is ok from then on until I close then reopen Opera.

Anyone have thoughts on this? I've done the usual: add-ons, clear profile, etc. Thanks,

Well, this has been fixed. It seems Opera updated to 70.0.3728.133, from 70.0.3728.106 on 06 Sep and this issues no longer exists. I had three version that seemed to have been installed on 25 Aug, 69.0.3686.95, 70.0.3728.71, and 70.0.3728.106, which didn't fix the issue. But, all is well now. 🙂
