Is there a way to turn off animated gifs for a particular page? Or even in general?

This extension doesn't let you block GIFs on specific sites, but in general: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gif-blocker/oekejgakomlgjhglcknafljncaibhbpa. Try installing it, but firstly install this one: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/?display=en. Note that I don't know how effective is the extension called ''Gif Blocker''.
