Multichannel surround sound audio (5.1/7.1) not working with MacOS Opera Dev

HI, I'm not getting surround sound when using Opera (71 dev) on MacOS with a Creative X3 7.1 USB audio device. The Fraunhoffer html5 surround tests play out in stereo only.

Typing this into console returns "2", while Firefox returns the correct number "6" or "8" depending on my speaker config at the time.

new AudioContext().destination.maxChannelCount
