Autofill not updating

I use Opera for my companies ticket site and I have to do filters on the ticket board I am on. I see that when I go to type in certain fields it shows a drop down of my search text criteria. I was wondering how this is updated properly? I have the search criteria that I want in there but I am not sure how, or the steps I did for them to get added in properly? In the filed I want to add a search criteria I typed in the text, then I hit enter, then I close the page and re-opened it, but the text was not populating? I did these same steps about 6-7 times and they finally were added. Not sure if it takes a set number of times to add the text into the autofill or if there are certain steps I need to take? I am using the Mac version of Opera. See screen shot of what I am referring
