As you know you get these do gooders trying to restrict your use of a browser by calling you "Spot"

I have never been a "Spot" and never will be so the perplexing problem of accessing my directories that we all have on our computers while being limited to only accessing "Spot" directory has annoyed me for 6 months now so I decided to work on it .

Turns out its damn easy. Go to /usr/lib/opera/opera.bin Link the file to the desktop by dragging it to the desktop from a filer. Then edit that desktop entry under "Arguments to pass" and put "--no-sandbox" and voila its now running as root and you can save where you damnwell like.

Search the web for "Opera Icon" go to images and save one then add the icon to your desktop entry. How bloody annoying that was .

When you have it running find this file and install it and Facebook and other videos will play properly.

Just a clickable link to keep it all together
          Page
          https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/amd64/chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra/67.0.3396.99-0ubuntu0.16.04.2

          File to get

Seems they do the old cancel edit powers here which really stuffs things up cause you cant organise your posts as you wish them to keep relevent stuff together So...

I'm using Xenialpup64_7-5 which is a 64 bit release so if your using a 32 look for the 32bit on the first site ref.
