Opera v. 68.0.3618.173 unstable in Windows 10 update 2004

Ever since the Windows 10 update 2004, Opera has been unstable. While it opens normally and allows me to visit sites, when I attempt to use the extensions Click&Clean and/or History Eraser (both installed via the Chrome web store, because they're not up-to-date on the Opera add-ons page), they'll work but won't allow me to close their windows. Even closing the main Opera window (effectively quitting the program) doesn't help, nor does CTRL+ALT+DEL. I have to go to Task Manager and force Opera to close. And after re-booting, the computer is unstable; so that I have to shut down, wait, and re-start it.
Additionally, if I highlight an unhyperlinked address while the "Go to Address" pops up (or using the right-click menu), it won't go to the web page, and just hangs.
I've already tried fully uninstalling Opera via Revo Uninstaller Pro, re-installing the latest version, then installing extensions. Everything works fine for about 12-hours, before the same problem resurfaces.
Opera is my favourite browser; I've been using it before it became Chromium-based. And one of its best features has always been "Speed Dial". The thought of having to use Chrome (ugh!) or Edge (yuck!) is not a choice I want to make, but I value being able to periodically clear my usage history and those two extensions have never had a problem until this latest Windows update.
I can't be the only person with these problems.
