Transfeering folders from Outlook 10

I'm not happy with outlook and am looking to transfer to Opera.
I have created the account and have transferred the contacts. However, I have a number of folders which need to be sent across. The folders are not in the Gmail main account which is why I can only transfer them from outlook. Can I do this and if so, how? My concern is that if I create the folders in gmail then opera will only transfer email from the main inbox and not look at the folders. I would have rules in place to send emails to correct folders so they won't appear in inbox. i'm running windows 7.Many thanks

Please ignore, I have found my folders. They were under 'inbox' and not gmail inbox'.
