Importing bookmarks from new Edge

Despite "successful" import of bookmarks from MS new Edge nothing is imported. Why?
I have closed Edge in the Task Manager before import.

The importer is broken due to security changes in Chromium. Instead, goto the URL edge://bookmarks in Edge and export your bookmarks to an HTML file. Then, in Opera, goto the URL opera://bookmarks and import them.
