Somehow I can't get the Native Messaging API working in Opera 24 for Linux.

I guess the place for the host manifest file should be (user level install):
      ~/.config/opera-developer/NativeMessagingHosts/

      but that doesn't work:
Failed to connect: Specified native messaging host not found.

It does work in Chrome and Chromium mutatis mutandi.

      The docs seem outdated:
      http://dev.opera.com/extensions/tut_message_passing.html

      Any idea what's wrong?
