After my new phone got stolen I had to fall back to my old java phone NOKIA 6233. I installed opera mini 8.0 for the first time ever and I can't seem to download files of size more than 15 mb on my phone over 3g. I have enough disk space left and I have allowed opera mini to read and edit data to my memory card. But still everytime i try to download files of size more than 15 mb, it fails! Called up my network ISP and they assured me that they have NOT throttled the file size limit on 3g network. I have seen posts by many people with the same problem but no solution has ever been provided. Is it opera mini that has limited the file size download limit? Can someone please help?

@kickuhard81: Thanks for letting us know about that! Could you please fill in a bug report and post the ID here?
Can you please share what's your mobile operator? Do you have issues downloading from all sites or only a subset of them? Are you able to start the download of https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/linux-4.5.5.tar.xz successfully (it's a Linux kernel file obtained from https://www.kernel.org/)?

@olasia: Thank you for the reply. The bug report id is SKIRNE-225922. My network is AIRTEL 3G (INDIA). The problem is NOT restricted to one site but multiple sites e.g. Keepvid, savefrmnet, microsoft, ebooksdownload etc. The linux kernel file faile to download immediately after starting. Couldnt check other browsers as they are either very slow or crash unlike opera mini on my phone.

@kickuhard81: Thanks for all the information. We pushed a fix to the issue you've experienced - can you please recheck if you're able to download now?

This is me confirming the issue STILL PERSISTS very much. It hardly seems anything has been done or will be done since i've found posts that go back as far as 2010 mentioning the same issue. I received an email saying 'we have updated our servers and that should resolve the issue'. I hardly believe a server update will solve anything. Thank you anyways, but its time to dump opera mini and look for other alternatives.

@kickuhard81: It's sad to see you go but we respect your decision. I can confirm that we're actively working in order to improve the downloading system in Opera Mini - maybe the effects are not as visible (yet) as we'd like them to I've sent you an e-mail with a download test URL - please follow the steps listed there if you find time, it would help us do some further troubleshooting. Although it may be hard to believe, being the kind of a proxy browser Opera Mini is, there are actually a lot of things that can change during a single server update

sony k770 j2me

telefonica o2direct download of kernel file fails, but opera mini can trigger the rudimentary system browser to start downloading.
good job, thanks to opera mini, no need to always schlepp a big clumsy droidfone.

Love my Style (Blackberry 6), however, I've a problem with one of my work sites. They added a popup that displays before the page loads and I have no way to move beyond it. Just sits there with a "loading" message. Site worked fine before the "improvement."
Any suggestions or am I missing something/some setting?

I have a BlackBerry 9860 and I use it sometimes but all the downloads stops at 0.9Mb and after that at 1.9Mb for a few seconds or a minute or two. I think it's a server issue. I use opera mini 8. Thanks
