What other browser? You need to compare with a browser different than Firefox. It's best to compare with another Chromium-based browser like Chrome, Chromium, Vivaldi, Brave, and the new Chromium-based Edge.

What do IE and regular Edge do?

Test Opera with a new profile. Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder named "Opera Test" on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation", uncheck "import data from default browser", and install. Test in that Opera, but do not enable Opera Sync, do not install any extensions, do not turn on Opera's VPN and do not turn on Opera's adblocker.

Do things work fine there? If not, create a new user account in Windows, log into it and test Opera there. If Opera works there, it might be an issue/settings with your normal Windows user account. It could be proxy settings set when they shouldn't be or malware or a virus.
