      Hi,
I just installed the standalone version of Opera Mail.
After importing my accounts.ini - damn what a bitch to find - almost all was fine.

      1. one of my POP accounts somehow couldn't authenticate, although it was already downloading the new mail from it.
      2. my RSS feeds (about 20 different feeds) are not listed as before (Opera 11.62) as single feeds. All I have now is about 200+ new feed news all cluttered up directly under the RSS feed menu.
        This is very inconvenient.

Can someone tell me how to get my dedicated feeds with new/read/unread messages back?
and selecting them new and "downloading" them in Mail doesn't work either as the RSS feed icon doesn't show up in Opera 22

      All help is appreciated.
      Julian

Importing from accounts.ini doesn't import feeds correctly. Also, there's no way to import feed messages from elsewhere in Opera (they'll just be imported as email).

        You have a few choices:

        • Export your feed list from Opera 12 (or 11.62) (via menu -> settings -> import and export" and import that list into Opera Mail. You'll lose already-fetched feed messages that are no longer on the feed pages and you'll have to set the update interval for each feed again (if you changed them in the first place). But, that'll get your feeds back. But, you might want to delete the mess of feeds you have now, including going into "Menu -> feeds -> manage feeds" where you unsubscribe and then delete the feeds and where you delete any feed messages left over.

        or

        • Use the new import wizard in Opera Mail. The Opera suite has to be installed to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera" and be set as the default browser for the new wizard to come up. If you use that, it'll copy everything over from Opera no problem. To get the first run import wizard to show up again, you'll have to delete the "Opera Mail" local and roaming AppData folders or at least delete the Opear Mail "mail" folder.

        or

        • Copy the folders yourself (just like the new import wizard does).

        Example:

        Delete "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Opera Mail\Opera Mail"
        Delete "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Opera Mail\Opera Mail"

Move/Copy "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Opera\Opera" into "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Opera Mail" and then rename the "Opera" folder to "Opera Mail".

Move/Copy "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Opera\Opera into "C:\Usres\user\AppData\Local\Opera Mail" and th en rename the "Opera" folder to "Opera Mail".

(If the Program files folder name for Opera Mail isn't "Opera Mail", you'll rename the "Opera" folders to the same name as the Opera Mail program files folder name.)

Then, it'll be like you always had your stuff in Opera Mail and your feeds will be there just fine.

ok, as I setup a new PC and the old hard drive is really on its last dying step copying the files manually seems the best and easiest option.

BUT could u tell me what path the feeds would be in on an WindowsXP OS?

Thanks for the fast and thorough reply.

            Instead of "C:\Users\user\AppData\local", it's "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data".

            Instead of "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming", it's "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data".

In the past, I think that those that knew enough about Opera Mail to make documentation were too busy working on Opera Mail. Now though, Opera Mail isn't being worked on. So, it's unlikely that you'll see any new mail documentation.
