While using Opera in Windows 7 "The color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic"

Every time I go on Ebay and look at a listing, I'll get a error that pops up. This is what it says:
"The color scheme has been changed"
"The following program has performed an action the requires Windows to temporarily change the color scheme to Windows 7 Basic.
Program: Opera web browser
Publisher: Opera Software AS
Process identifier (PID): 7196Windows will automatically change the color scheme back to Windows Aero when this program or other programs performing similar actions are no longer running."
The only "fix" is to restart the PC. I have not had this problem with ANY other browser. This is exclusive to Opera ONLY. I want this issue fixed immediately.

That's weird. Goto the URL
opera://settings/system
, disable hardware acceleration and restart Opera. If the problem goes away, it's probably a GPU or GPU driver issue.@pawapawa said in While using Opera in Windows 7 "The color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic":

A good comparison for Opera would be Vivaldi and Brave. If you haven't tried those yet, try them to see if they also do it. If so, it could be an issue with Chromium (even if things work fine in Chrome).

The "But it isn't! I know!" section of this post https://superuser.com/a/498964/6488 might help you avoid restarting your PC when you need to fix the issue after it's already happened.

I will try these suggestions. It seems like a driver issue. Thanks, burnout426.
