      Hi,
My Opera (66.0.3515.44) has been dropping frames lately while watching YouTube videos (1080/1080p 60/4k) and I haven't been able to resolve it after doing both a reinstall of Opera and reinstall of my GPU drivers. Videos play perfectly with no dropped frames even at 8k/60fps on Edge and Firefox.

      Opera info:
      Update stream:Stable
      System:Windows 10 64-bit

      System Info:
      Intel 9700k
      Nvidia 2080Ti
      32GB RAM
      Opera running from an SSD

      Opera:

      Firefox:

Anyone know how to resolve it?

@viperkevin said in YouTube dropped frames:

Videos play perfectly with no dropped frames even at 8k/60fps on Edge and Firefox.

To compare with Opera, what about other Chromium-based browsers like Vivaldi, Brave, plain Chromium, the new, Chromium-based Edge, and Chrome.

Also, try Opera Beta and Opera Developer from https://www.opera.com/download. Maybe it's a bug that's already fixed.

If you have Opera's battery saver turned on, turn it off.

          @burnout426 thanks for the suggestions.
I downloaded Opera Beta and ran the same 8k60fps video, it didn't drop any frames.
I've reinstalled my normal Opera Stable from scratch (again) and it seems to be resolved for now, not sure what exactly caused it still.
