Can we re-enable extension sidebar with new version 66?

I use the "Bookmarks by the Side" extension to organize my bookmarks on the left side of the screen, and up through version 65, it lived in the extension sidebar conveniently below my window tabs and URL field. But now with version 66, the extension side bar no longer exists, and "Bookmarks by the Side" occupies the full height of my browser window, giving me less space to show my window tabs. Is there a way to re-enable the extension sidebar in version 66 or equivalently configure an extension like "Bookmarks by the Side" to live below my window tabs and URL field?

For now, you can disabled the new behavior. Goto the URL
opera://flags/#sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebar, disable it, and restart Opera. No guarantee how long the flag will remain though. -
