Closing a tab doesn't go back to the previously used tab anymore

It used to be that after opening a new tab and then closing it, opera put me back where I was in my tabs (not necessarily the last one), but it doesn't happen anymore.
When closing a tab now, it just puts me to the last tab.

I should mention that I am using alfred to make searches and open websites, and with a normal command+t it works the intended way.
I don't wish to change my behaviour, is there a way for me to make it work ?
