Opera won't open

is it just me or is Opera having an issue? long time user suddenly opera simply won't open on any of my laptops?

Vaguely related (?) Last night I was suddenly unable to continue on a site with log-in, however I tried. Cleared the cookies, rebooted, same problem. "Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit."It was banking, so I checked and they have no problems: it's my browser. It may be intermittent, I was told, use a different one.
That's the last thing I want to do, as Opera works well with almost everything.
