[Solved]Launcher not compatible

Suddenly experienced this today while trying to open Opera. The browser just would not open, so I ran a compatability test, I use windows 8.1, see attached screenshot for result. Based on this result I reinstalled Opera, again the same issue. Is this common? How can I fix this issue?

Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder named "Opera Test" on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation", uncheck "Import data from default browser" and install. Test with that Opera. Does its launcher.exe do the same thing?

If so, try the Beta and Developer versions on https://www.opera.com/download to see if they do the same.

Is your Windows 8.1 fully updated?

If all else fails, temporarily create a new user account on Windows and Opera in it to see if there's any difference.

Maybe someone with Windows 8.1 can test.
