@delete Click on the "X" in the upper right corner. You will then be given the option not to receive advertisement of this kind in the future anymore.

@delete No, I don't. But I haven't seen this advertisement again since then.

I've done it before, few weeks ago. But advertising has reappeared.

@yanta Thanx, been reading and trying to get rid of them for an hour, should have checked in here first!

@delete This is displeasing and has also annoyed other users.
I very much hope that Opera accepts the will of those users who don't want to see advertisements.
Maybe it is just a bug (this form of advertising delivery is, as far as I know, only active since a few days).

Thank you. Unfortunately, more and more users are reporting that their decision not to receive further advertising seems not to be permanently saved or accepted by Opera's advertising delivery system.
Basically, this current advertisement behaviour seems to be a repetition of an attempt that caused considerable resistance from users about a year ago:
At that time, unasked advertising tiles were added to our speed dials, which appeared over and over again at this prominent place for weeks or even month, until they finally could successfully being turned off for good.
Now there is this kind of advertising again, yet above the speed dials in its own, optically slightly raised element set off.
