Opera keeps constantly freezing over the past 6 months already

Is it something to do with my laptop or common problem with other people as well?
Essentially it just freezes up, tabs keep spinning but nothing loads up.
And when closing the program it doesn't actually kill the process either. Have to go through task manager each time to end process for the frozen application.
This keeps happening basically every 5 or 10 minutes of browsing, going back and forth between tabs, etc.
I though it's something with my settings or all the tabs I keep open. So I saved my data, logged out, hard reset that removed all data from local folders, uninstalled the program itself. Cleaned registry and other parts with CCleaner.
Brand new installation.. all new looking Opera, fancy. I log in to get my bookmarks back. See that I have lost my open tabs and speeddial.. no biggie. Went to check on extensions.. lost as well, ok.. let download them back.. and bam, frozen again, doesn't even load up the extensions page. Or any other new tab.
And I hadn't even opened any websites yet, just Opera's own stuff. And the whole thing is frozen again. Only way out.. close the program, open task manager, kill the remaining process (which is there each time.. opera.exe*32) and start over.
What the hell is going on with it?
This started some time few months ago already, and I was hoping it gets fixed with updates, but nothing. Have now sent them already 3 bug reports, without a reply.
Is there something else I should try to fix in my laptop that is causing this? Or it is Opera's issue.
I also use Chrome and FF along side (to share the load on open tabs and keep work stuff separate) and they work fine. Using Windows 7 *64bit (still.. until they kill the support in January I guess).

Sound like an extension is causing the issue then. Or, maybe something to do with Opera Sync after you log back in to it. Are you having it sync your settings too?
Try a fresh profile of Opera without enabling Sync and without installing extensions to see if you can still reproduce the issue. Maybe start Opera with the --disable-gpu switch just to see if it still does it.
If all else fails, create a new Windows user account and test Opera in it to see if your normal user account is messed up.
Opera isn't freezing for me or anything like that. Make sure you're fully updated though as there were recently some crash fixes.
