When wanting to switch tabs using the Ctrl + Tab combination in a browser like Chrome, you need to hold down Ctrl then when you push down the key, the tab switches immediately.

In Opera, you have to hold down Ctrl and then fully press and release the Tab button.

My suggestion: add two ways for switching tabs (while holding Ctrl): fully pressing Tab, and switching tabs when the Tab key is pushed down.

I don't think it even needs to be an option. Opera should just do as other browsers and do the switch on keydown like you suggest.
