Messenger app in sidebar comes up in a foreign language

Does anyone know how to solve the issue of the Facebook Messenger app in the Opera sidebar coming up in a foreign language? I'm traveling through the Middle East right now and, even though Facebook is set to English, the messenger app in the Opera sidebar is coming up in Arabic. I don't see how to change it back to English.
Your help is appreciated.
