cant sync between desktop and android, keeps asking for "passphrase"

why cant you sync between android and desktop versions? It keeps asking me for a "passphrase" and the opera password i use regularly to sign in to my account doesnt work, neither does resetting the password. its infuriating. i tried the beta version too, same problem.
