[Solved]Opera Developer build and “smart quotes and dashes”

Recent releases on the “developer” channel have started tweaking Web page form inputs to use mac OS’s “smart quotes and dashes”. I’ve confirmed that this is specific to the developer channel, as the beta and official releases to do not do this.
This makes it impossible to enter apostrophes, quotation marks, or pairs of hyphens in Web page form inputs, as they get turned into their typographic counterparts… making it nearly impossible to enter passwords, for example, that contain these characters.
No other browser on the Mac does this, as best I can tell from testing Safari, Firefox, Chrome (dev, beta, official), Vivaldi, etc.
@Opera Team: please fix this regression or let us know if this is an Opera-specific configuration setting that can be toggled back to a functional state?
