Cannot access router using opera

This problem occurs every so often. There appears to be a bug in with websites that ask for credentials with this kind of dialogue box (see attached). This kind of dialogue box is seen in many routers.
Problem: Often, in opera, when trying to access the router (192.168.1.1), it continuously tries to load the page. It doesn't come up with an error. It just keeps on spinning. And nothing happens.
Partial Work Around: Opening a new private window, or clearing the cache works. But this problems happens quite often, and sometimes, I just don't want to clear my cache.
This is really annoying, and would love to get this resolved.!
