How to stop autoplay videos?

I've tried 2 extensions - neither work for Yahoo. Why would they think we want to watch their lousy videos instead of reading the article? Who can read when somebody is talking in your ear? Do they think most people that go to their website can't read and need a video? Is there a solution to this besides disabling Javascript? But then the entire page won't work.
