      Hello,

      -f myself@gmail.com -t someone@gmail.com -u subject Blah Blah -m message body Blah Blah -a ( attaching an attachment ) -s smtp.gmail.com:587 -xu myself@gmail.com -xp gmailpassword12345 -o tls=yes

      I've google many but no help....................

      $mail->CharSet= 'GB2312' $subject->CharSet = 'GB2312'
      $mail->CharSet = 'utf-8'
      ....etc.

      Thank you very much.

            The body has the wrong charset defined. It should be utf-8 or GB2312 and encoded for the one used.

            For the subject, you can try to turn on 8bit headers in accounts.ini. However, the subject should really be properly-encoded. Example: Subject: =?utf-8?B?4oia?=

                Just looks like a problem with sendmail not properly encoding the body and subject.

                  What's your 'Language for non-Unicode programs' set to? If you don't set it to 'Chinese (Simplified, China)', some programs will display broken characters. See this page for more information.

                  Try -cc for cc.

                    Thank you Xin and is very helpful information indeed !!!!

                    Your hints now lead me to start installing a separate USB Opera with Simplify Chinese as I am not wanting to touch the core Unicode in the Window system.

                    Thank you very much once again.

                      No problem. Also remember to add the -o message-charset=gb2312 argument to fix the wrongly defined character set in the email header.
