Opera on Mac keeps crashing - "Opera quit unexpectedly"

Hello,

So last week while I was browsing Reddit, Opera became stuck while opening a new tab (the little mac spinner came on). It wouldn't close even if after right click > quit, so I had to force quit it from the apple menu.

Ever since, Opera keeps crashing randomly. The latest happened just now when I tried to update Opera to the latest version and clicked the "Relaunch Now" button. I got this error report -

Normally, during such a crash, you would expect the app to restart when you hit the "Reopen" button, but in this case, this error report closes and it reopens again.

I already tried to uninstall (delete) Opera and start over the last time this happened, but it doesn't seem to have any effect at all.
