Opera Profile Problem After attempting Update

I tried today to update my Opera standalone from version 60 (sub 151) something to the new 62 version. I tried using the inbuilt updater but that failed.
So i downloaded the full offline installer,virus checked it and tried to get the instal on top of the existing installation, something I often do. However after the installer completed and Opera opened their was a message in a box about a failed profile, never had this problem before. Can someone comment please ?
