[Solved]Download page no longer shows new downloads

The Download page stopped showing in progress and completed downloads approximately 5 days ago. If I start a new download all I see are downloads completed 5 days ago and nothing since. The downloads work just the Download tab has gone wonky. I am running the most current version. Although it may not a factor in this issue, I am not a fan of the new Download page layout and much prefer the previous one. What version would I have to revert to to get back the old layout?

After some trial and error it appears that Downloads doesn't play nicely with some VPNs which is why the downloads are not showing up. But that aside this new layout looks like it was designed for phones in portrait mode not for Windows PCs. Everything is crammed into the center of the page resulting in each download in a box taking more vertical space with large blank areas to the right and left. Poor use of screen real estate that results in showing fewer downloads and making monitoring multiple downloads much harder. Additionally the Downloads tab takes an inordinate amount of time to come up. Sadly as a long time Opera user and fan this could end up being a deal breaker for me.

I second everything you've posted - presence of a bug where new downloads have not been showing up for some time (since the last patch I presume), download screen takes ages to come up and the layout is terrible (4 downloaded items on the whole screen - are you kidding me?) and it can't be set up in any way. I really don't understand who in his right mind would sanction such unnecessary and unwanted changes, probably just for the sake of changing something that worked perfectly before? Shame.

Somehow I can't edit my previous post - maybe there's some arbitrary time restriction or something. Anyway, I've reverted to the latest 58.x version and am again a happy camper. If the deviloopers give users the option to turn off auto-patching, I'll probably start thinking/talking about Oprah in a more positive manner.
