I have over 450,000 mails in my Opera 10.63 which I am now using for my work.

There are many many mails which are duplicate/ triplicate/ quadruplicate/ etc.

Can someone please guide me on how to remove the extra mails?

Opera has no feature that can remove duplicate messages. You have to do it manually. If you click the "settings for this view" button on the toolbar above the message list, you can expand the "show" section and uncheck "show duplicates". That'll hide them at least.

          Dear burnout426,

Thanks, but what you described is for mails stored in the current version of Opera, not for mails stored in Opera 10.63.

Yeh, I forgot that "show duplicates" wasn't there in 10.63. For 10.63, there's basically nothing you can do.

In All Messages/Recieved, you could type in something in the search field that matches a single message. Then, it should show the original and all of its duplicates. You could then select the second copy in the search result, hit shift + end to select all the rest of the copies in the resutls and then hit shift + del to wipe out the selection. Then, you should be left with one copy of that message. You'd then have to repeat for other messages that have duplicates. Still a major pain, but slightly easier.

Thanks again. You have tried to help. But I will have to do this exercise thousands of times.
