hi i just have a things i cant seem to fix:
I am unable to search for recent download in my downloads list after the auto-update to vers 60 .
Failed and canceled cannot be seen and removed resulting in red opera icon on the taskbar.
Searches made in the download list do not work.
There is no filter for failed/canceled downloads
my opera version is 60.0.3255.151, running windows 10
i have tried running an update but it keeps getting an error message
is there a way to fix these things without clearing my download history or previous download list - as i like to keep track of what is downloaded.
if anyone can help me that would be great, thanks in advance -

In Opera 60.0.3255.151 64-bit on Windows 10 Pro, I see both completed and failed (with a restart button for the failed) downloads in
opera://downloads
. Seems to work fine for me.My Opera profile is super fresh. Maybe try with a the portable version to a folder on your desktop and test in there to see if it's just your normal Opera profile that's messed up. Do not enable sync and do not import data from the default browser in that Opera.

i have tied that but still doesnt seem to work
my download list is all jumbled up there's no specified order (eg alphabetical, or by descending download time) unlike the previous versions
if i uninstalled and reinstalled the browser will i be able to keep my download list and bookmarks/speed dial?thanks for the reply

Yes, if you choose to keep your data when uninstalling. But, if the issue is in your data (your Opera profile), reinstalling won't help. You can test with the portable version though as that won't interfere with your normal Opera.
There have been some changes to opera://downloads that users have complained about. I just don't use it enough to know what they are myself. But, if you have a long list of downloads in there and they're sorted funny now, it's likely the entries are there somewhere and you're just missing them because they're in the wrong place and mixed in with a ton of other entries. Testing with the portable version of Opera will show you how it behaves with a blank list at least.

Yes. But, you can install it to a folder on your hard drive instead of a usb stick.

Download some things in it to see if they should up in the list. Shut down your net connection mid-download to see if failed downloads show up in the list too.

It seems to work fine with the portable, but i do not have a log in for my normal opera account - no profile, have been using it without a profile

That's good at least. I'm not sure if that means there's something messed up with your normal Opera profile or if the issue only happens when there are a lot of entries in the downloads list. Maybe you can make the list bigger in that portable install and see if you can finally reproduce the issue?
but i do not have a log in for my normal opera account - no profile, have been using it without a profile
When I say "profile", I'm referring to the folder that's mentioned when you goto the URL
opera://about
that contains all your user data. What are you referring to? Are you referring to using your Opera account credentials to sign in to Opera Sync? If so, then I assume that you're just saying that you're not using Opera Sync with your normal Opera. -

i thought you meant opera account.
I tried making an account and syncing but it doesn't sync download history and speed dial, or tabs open.
but thank you for your help. :), if you find any fixes for it can you let me know
hopefully its just a bug in the current opera and would be fix in the next update
