Hide "news" from the front page?

Why is there NO option to disable stupid news on the front/home page of Opera Mini on iOS? I don't want to see that crap and yet there is ZERO settings to control this. In fact, iOS version of Opera is so spartan it's absurd. And it's not because Apple has stupid limited policies, this could be still done, yet it isn't. Why?

Am I really the only one annoyed by this crap? Opera for Android was clean, but on iOS you can only use Opera Mini and with forced stupid news when you open it up instead of things I actually care about, like god damn bookmarks synced from my PC’s...
