If I start typing something in the url and press enter it will automatically enter that first result how do I stop that??

The result it will autocomplete is either something I've searched for before or something I have bookmarked but I dont wanna see that shit when I press enter I want to see results for what I've typed at ALL times, if I want the bookmark I'll click the bookmark...

I've been searching for a solution for this for years now across chrome and opera and it become the most annoying thing in my life I need a permanent solution, I dont wanna have to stop saving bookmarks or clear my browsing history 5 times a day, any help is appreciated thanks

I feel the pain. Every time when I try to open some website opera is auto completing it from history and adds some post/get shit to url. Even if I press backspace to remove suggested highlighted part and hit enter it will redirect me to that page from history - it magically adds that autocomplete junk on hitting enter.
The workaround I found is to press space before hitting enter. It will clear unwanted tail. Hope it will help someone a bit.

yep that's what I've had to do all this time but my god is it annoying, sometimes it requires several space bar spams, who could possibly want this autocomplete garbage is it for people who only ever visit the same 3 sites maybe once a month?
