Opera 22.0 and aMule with Mac

Hello there,
I don't know what's going on but I can't make the ed2k links automatically pass from Opera browser to aMule. I've been checking the internet, I found lot of posts like mine but I didn't find a solution, and apparently this problem is been going on ever since version 7... Which seems to be a little scary. Haven't they figured out how to fix that yet?
Anyone knows how to solve that, apart from copy/paste the link right away? I heard firefox has some extension to make that work but i couldn't find any among the ones for Opera..

What version of Opera are you using ?.
If it's the newer Blink version of Opera (15.x-23.x) then you could try looking on the Chrome webstore https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions for an equivalent extension.
You will need to install the 'Download Chrome Extension' https://addons.opera.com/en-gb/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/?display=en first, which allows you to install compatible Chrome extension in Opera.
