[Solved]Is there any way to go back to Opera 58?

Hi, Using Opera for a long time and always updated to the latest for security / benefits and improvements. However its sad to say that version 60 is not to my liking. The way version 58 looked was easier on the eyes. This new version hurts the eyes. The color is too bright or too dark. Speed Dial became very small and if I make it bigger, then bookmarks get big too. If I click Speed Dial folders, the font text inside is blurry. The side bar which I was using used to be black even with the light theme and the light theme looked a lot better.
The top book marks bar, address bar, everything has no borders its just 1 big white space.Sorry but this new look is not for me. This is not a matter of getting used to and "adapting" - this is bad UI. If this is on purpose, can anyone show me where I can download version 58? Or how to fully Uninstall and remove all traces of Opera?
Thank you in advance!
Edit : Also the Speed Dial is not just tiny, but it takes longer to load. For example if I close all the tabs, the last page is blank then 10 seconds later the Speed Dial icons come, and the folders have blurry fonts.

@marmottin Hi I'm sorry I think I prefer I want to completely Uninstall version 60. I am afraid to even go back to version 58 because it will just update itself. There is not an option to stop automatic updates?
I really really loved this browser but this has gone too far. It hurts my eyes too much.
I'm sorry if I am wrong here but for me this is painful and heart breaking. -

@operalinknx1 I've reverted back too, the skin isn't really an issue for me, but it has too many other issues (random freezes to begin with). I sincerely wonder why they rushed the release of this version.
The update process goes through a separate application called opera_autoupdate.exe, so yeah, just block it with a firewall and you're done
Just don't forget to unblock it once they've sorted out this mess. Each time an update is downloaded, it is installed on a new folder inside the same root directory.
When you use the opera launcher (default when you use the shortcuts created), it will start the latest version it finds.
You'll find everything the way it was before (apart from the default bookmarks being readded to yours on the first launch).Deleting all the previous ones is (IMO) the best way. Why? Because the latest v58 available on their FTP is the build 3135.90, available here: https://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/58.0.3135.90/
And this is not actually the very latest v58. On my computer, I have this build 3135.127. -

Just got the v60 Opera yesterday (whatever happened to v59?) - Running on Win 8, 64Bit, but nevertheless Opera 32Bit for some reason.
I can't say I like the fashion trend in UI software design in general. Opera seems to get more and more into the flat, sparse 'Utilitarian Look' with every new version.

I agree with the small "blurry fonts". They appear to be 'shadowed'. It's all very irritating, why does it have to be like this?
What ever happened to: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"?
It may well be that v58 is the right time to get off the escalator.

@marmottin Thank you for your helpful post. Is there any way to get the last most version 58? Because that auto update will bring version 60. I could not find the folder you were talking about. I only have version 60.
Why did Opera not give us a warning or option? I have tried to put the brightness down on my monitor but this version 60 is probably the ugliest User Interface I have ever seen. It does not match Windows 10 at all.
Edit : I found it!
https://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/58.0.3135.127/win/
This one is the one you have, this is the last Version 58 right?
Edit 2 : Upon more research, this seems to be the last version 58! I will just delete opera_autoupdate.exe from the Opera folder!
Thank you so much!

@operalinknx1 My bad, I thought this version wasn't on their FTP, but the files aren't sorted ideally so I missed it
I will edit my post. Edit: well I can'tWhen you install Opera, check the folder where it's going to be installed (use the "options" button on the main installer screen - you can also choose a different location).
Then browse inside this one, it's where those backup folders are. -

Hello everyone. I am back with some good news. To go back to version 58 permanently. Please follow these steps :
-
Go to your AppData/Local and AppData/Roaming - Copy Opera Software folders from there to a seperate location. For example : Make a new Folder OperaLocal, then copy "Opera Software" from C:\Users[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\Opera Software.
---DO the same step for Roaming as well. This folder is where your user settings etc are. -
Uninstall Opera > It will have a box if you want to delete your User Data also, don't check that box. The above step is just insurance you don't lose your settings etc. But your user data will remain intact.
NOTE: This step 2 is only for those who wish to Uninstall and Re-install. If you look in C:\Program Files\Opera , most of you can already see version 58 is already there. Opera keeps the last good version just in case to allow you to revert. In this case, you only delete version 60 folder and that is it. Proceed to Firewall and Task Scheduler steps. If you do not have version 58, then you must uninstall and proceed to below steps.
- After Uninstall Opera, go to
https://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/58.0.3135.127/win/
and download your beloved old version 58. After download, Install it.
-
Opera will automatically start after install, Close it very quickly!
-
Go to your Windows Task Scheduler. Hit Windows Key, type Task Scheduler. Once it starts, go in Task Scheduler Library > and look for > Opera scheduled Autoupdate. Right Click this and Disable it.
-
Now type Windows Key and type Windows Firewall with Advanced Security
Here you will make 2 Rules to Fully block Opera from AutoUpdate.
Click Inbound > New Rule > Program > browse for program.
You need to go into C:\Program Files\Opera\58.0.3135.127\ and look for this file :
opera_autoupdate.exe
Now block this file in both Inbound and Outbound (new rule > program) same steps. You will select Block Connection and for ALL Domain. It's a very simple process but I am here to help if you have any problem so do not worry.
-
After this, Opera will not able to update itself without your permission!
-
Now you may enjoy!
Benefits of this :
- Easy on your eyes,
- Beautiful dark side bar (even with light theme)
- Speed Dial now looks properly size and its font are now perfect!
- No more ugly too much white space and everything looks like it is designed by a human being for another human being!
Ok that is it! And remember, you can use extention like Ublock Origin and Decentraleyes.
You can also use a good host file. No more nasty things coming in your PC.
Best security is you, not what someone else force on you. So best of lucky my friends and have yourself the most wonderful day, enjoy the Upgrade to version 58!
