Color and Brightness is broken in opera 60

I don't know if it is the new intended way but my opera has its brightness cranked up to a million.
In webs colours that are sort of light, they become almost invisible and those that don't then become quite distorted.
I've had to enable the Dark reader extension to be able to do the browsing I usually do.
It's also a problem with check boxes (some become invisible) and it puts a lot of strain in the eyes.
