Checking/Unchecking "Show Read" in Sorting menu makes all the mail disappear

I am using version 1.0 build 1040 of Opera mail on Windows 7. My problem is that whenever I check and then uncheck the "Show Read" option in Sorting menu, all the mail in that particular view (whether it be a label, or attachments or unread section) DISAPPEARS. In case of a label, if I delete the label and then recreate it, redefining the rules, the mail appears again, but checking/unchecking the "Show Read" option just breaks down the things again.
Does somebody know how this can be fixed?

So, you have both read and unread messages in a view and and have "show read" unchecked. You then check "show read" to show the read messages and then uncheck "show read" to hide them again. But, when you uncheck "show read", the unread messages in the view disappear too?

Yes. That's what been happening for a number of days with my Labels. But today it happened in Unread section as well.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll see if I can reproduce later and see what can be done about it (if anything). Does it help if you uncheck "threaded" though?

For the time being, I solved this by uninstalling Opera Mail, backup/restoring my mail folder. Although I lost all the labels and filters that I had setup over time in doing so. The "Show read" option seems to be working fine for now. I am not inclined to using it too much though.
I did not test if unchecking "threaded" worked or not, as I had already started the uninstall process by then.
