Saved Image File Size

I've been looking for a new wallpaper and noticed that when I open any image in a private tab and then save it, the file size is larger than if I were to open it in a regular tab and then save it. Sometime almost by double. To be specific, one image went from being 0.95 MB to 1.88 MB but both were the same resolution. any reason as to why this happens?
