In the sidebar, we've got access to Whatsapp, Telegram, FB messenger and VK. So is it possible to add the Discord Website-version to the sidebar? Would be pretty nice... Thank you

@kassandra1 It is easy to have everything in one place, I already have and use whatsapp, Messenger and Telegram on taskbar, so it would make it easier for me to access Discord from there too...

There are topics from users asking for this from 2 years ago. Will this ever be considered?

A couple of reasons why it deserves attention:
- it is becoming more and more popular, vastly overshadowing apps like Skype and Teamspeak
- no installation required, most features work running directly in the browser, voice included
- it's similar to WhatsApp and Telegram which come with Opera
- many organisations use Discord as their communication channel, so it's not just for gamers

Recently I noticed even Google Duo is now a web app. Google is taking the right steps to simplify the experience for users by creating more web apps that strip the hassle of installation and clutter. I wonder if other companies will follow the same.
I also wonder when, or if ever we'll hear some news about Discord in the sidebar, along with Google Duo and more popular services.

simply hell no. put one chat client there and you have to put them all there. it was bad enough when the opera devs decided to create a web store only for opera.

Some of the extensions from the Chrome site do not work with Opera. That is probably why there was a separate site for Opera extensions created. For instance, Disconnect from the Chrome site did not work in Opera, but Disconnect from the Opera site does. -

I think this would be good, as I use it on multiple devices - phone app for general chats on the go, full windows client for voicechat and everything else on my main PC and browser interface on my work PC.
And thats exactly the thing I would like - to move that tab on my work PC from the top, where it gets lost in myriads of open tabs between other messengers. I don't care about PC resources on this machine, but don't want to install full client. I hope it gets developed someday.
