Opera maximises window everytime I leave fullscreen mode

I usually have the Opera window resized so it doesn't take up the whole screen. When I close and reopen Opera it will remember size and position of the window, but whenever I go in and out of fullscreen mode the window will be maximised again. This is very annoying since I have to manually resize the window everytime I watch a fullscreen video on Youtube or Netflix. Is somebody experiencing the same issue? is there a fix?
