Hi! Opera is my deafult browser and also a deafult application to open mailto: links. However when I click such link, mail.ru on opera is opening. I want to change it to Yahoo.com mail, but I cannot find how. I installed MailTo addon to Opera but it helped only inside the Opera. When I click e-mail link outside (e.g. in pdf. document) still mail.ru is opening. Do you know how to change it?
      Thank you in advance

This is something Yahoo has to support. If it supports it, when you're at https://mail.yahoo.com/, it should ask you if you want Yahoo to handle "mailto". Then, you'd goto the URL opera://settings/handlers in Opera, click the 3 dots to the right of yahoo and choose "set as default". Then, in Windows (if needed), you'd set Opera as the default mail client.

If Yahoo doesn't support it, which I don't think it does, then it's not going to work.

          Thank you, it helped 🙂

If you find that Yahoo does support things but never asks you, see https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/25257/add-protocol-handler-to-settings for an example (for another site) on how to manually add a handler. I still don't think Yahoo supports it though.
