      Hello,
I'm writing BSc thesis about password managers and ways to store passwords. I'll be extremally grateful if someone could provide me some informations about password managing in Opera. How passwords are encrypted in Opera? AES? How they're hashed (if they're)? Could you give me some details about that process in that browser? It's really hard to find anything that is up to date.

Opera's based on Chromium and I don't think Opera does anything custom in this case. So, researching how Chromium does it should reveal how Opera does it too.

I was thinking more about password storing on the server - encryption, hashing cuz if Opera letting people sync their passwords across various platforms it has to encrypt it in some way and actually... I need more details about that process.

Read through the "Sync your passwords" section at https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2015/06/opera-developer-32-0-1899-0-password-sync-animated-themes-and-more/. It has a little bit of details and then links to https://www.links.org/files/nigori-protocol.html.
