Sync synced in wrong direction

I downloaded Opera on another device and wanted to transfer my bookmarks and other data from Device 1 to Device 2. I signed into an Opera account on Device 1 and enabled sync. Then I signed into the same account on Device 2 and enabled sync. Now all my bookmarks from Device 1 have been replaced with the default bookmarks (Walmart, Amazon, etc) and no sign of my bookmarks on Device 2. I immediately signed out of my account on both devices.

How can I get all my data back?

Look at other Speeddial folder and copy paste them.

Opera uses different Speeddials for each device.

Opera should explain the way they Sync and how to use the same Speeddial.
